Sat 19 September 2009: the September long ride to Abingdon

Eighteen Isis Cyclists gathered today for a ride to Abingdon in fantastic late summer weather. The outward route took us through Kennington and onto Sunningwell where we took a track that cunningly brought us out on the outskirts of Abingdon. By now the sun was out and we sat and drank coffee (and in my case ate a homemade  flapjack…thanks Clare!) in the main square. We returned to Oxford along the towpath, by Radley Lakes and then into the edge of Kennington where we took the Sustrans track back onto the river towpath at Iffley.  The ride was lead by Sarah Spackman and the sweepers were Lucy and Marion.
